The Project

Brand an initiative and design a website that showcases how Alameda County Employees care for their community outside of their regular duties as county employees. Working for the County, employees do a lot of service work as part of their day-to-day, but there are many who go above and beyond with different initiatives to help others in their community and beyond. The goal with ACGOV Cares is to highlight county employees, as well as encourage those in the public to join them in their efforts by offering platforms for volunteering and donating.

The Process

The logo for ACGOV Cares was designed to evoke warmth and caring as well as action. The stylistic heart was intended to be easily incorporated into the logos of current and future campaigns related to the initiative.

stone-soup-logo3x2.png was wire-framed in Adobe Illustrator and built in WordPress.

A collection of graphics were created as part of a marketing campaign to promote the new site on social media and other county websites.

The Result

The site was designed in a block format that can easily be added to and reordered, with the intention that the ACGOV Cares platform will expand and grow with new initiatives and opportunities. Upon launch, the site welcomed over 250 visitors, and currently sustains an active audience of employees and community members seeking volunteer or donation opportunities.
